Disaster Recovery Overview

CRYMBO’s infrastructure is designed to ensure high availability, business continuity, and rapid recovery from disruptions. This document outlines our core disaster recovery (DR) principles and capabilities for external stakeholders.

1. Objectives

CRYMBO’s disaster recovery framework is built to meet the following recovery objectives:

  • RTO (Recovery Time Objective): < 2 hours
  • RPO (Recovery Point Objective): < 15 minutes

These thresholds ensure minimal impact to client operations during unplanned outages.

2. Core DR Principles

  • Redundancy: All critical services are deployed across multiple availability zones to maintain uptime in the event of localized failures.
  • Replication: Data is continuously replicated and encrypted to off-site backup storage in real time.
  • Failover: Automated failover procedures are in place for our Oracle, Connect APIs, and data pipelines.
  • Zero Trust Access: All emergency access procedures follow strict RBAC policies and MFA enforcement.

3. Scope of Coverage

Our disaster recovery plan covers:

  • Oracle Engine: Validator nodes and policy enforcement mechanisms
  • CRYMBO Connect: API servers, UI dashboards, and onboarding flows
  • Smart Contracts: On-chain contracts are immutable; data relays resume after recovery
  • Data Storage: Transactional logs, identity hashes, and operational metadata

4. Testing and Validation

  • DR and Business Continuity Plans are tested biannually.
  • Test scenarios include cloud zone outages, smart contract failure responses, and critical third-party outages.
  • Post-mortems are documented and reviewed internally with updates pushed to all relevant SOPs.

5. Communication & Notification

In the event of a disruption affecting service availability:

  • CRYMBO provides real-time status updates via its status page (placeholder link).
  • Affected clients are notified via email and dashboard alerts within 30 minutes of incident confirmation.
  • A post-incident summary is published within 48 hours, including root cause analysis and remediation actions.

6. Commitment to Resilience

CRYMBO is committed to meeting or exceeding ICT and MiCA-aligned expectations for operational resilience. As a part of our ongoing governance:

  • Our DR program is aligned with DORA, MiCA, and leading cloud security frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301).
  • DR roles and responsibilities are assigned to a dedicated internal team with escalation support from engineering leads.
